Spooky Stories
Since we added a spooky book section to our reading area it has been a very popular area of the class. The children have really enjoyed reading stories such as the 'Funnybones' books and 'Mog and Meg' stories. We have had books all about ghosts, witches and skeletons and they have all enjoyed them so much that they could tell you some of the stories off by heart!
Harvest
Here are some pictures from Harvest. The children enjoyed learning about Harvest with Mrs Roe. Thanks to everyone who attended the Harvest Festival at school as this was a great success.

The children have been painting self-portraits this week. We discussed how everyone is special and unique and thought about all of the things that make us special. To paint their pictures the children looked closely at themselves in a mirror and decided on hair colour, eye colour and skin colour. The pictures are fantastic and are on the wall to welcome you as you enter Reception Class.

Welcome to the new Reception Class!
Welcome to all of the new and returning families. It has been a chaotic week settling all of the children in but has been greatly successful. I am really thankful of all of the support from families in making this transition as smooth as possible. We will be sending home lots of information next week about your child's key worker etc but feel free to pop in and speak to any of the team in Reception- we are here to help. Allow me to reassure you that ALL of the children have been happy and settled this week. I have included just a couple of photos here. Sorry If your child isn't here - ~I will post more next week.

The summer term.
Welcome back for the final half term in Reception Class. I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and have come back refreshed.
Hopefully the weather is going to be nice this half term - can I ask that all parents send their child with a sun hat and wearing sun cream. We do spend a lot of time outdoors in our class. I will ensure that the children drink plenty and spend time indoors/ in the shade.
